FOODPRINT at EU-MERCI Final Conference “Good Practices” of Energy Efficiency in the European industry, (London, 23/1/2018)

The EU-MERCI project organized the final conference of the project on the 23rd January 2018 in London. The conference aimed to disseminate the final outcomes of the EU-MERCI project, focusing on the greater deployment of energy efficiency "Good Practices" in industry across the European member states, according to the targets of the "Energy Efficiency" Directive (2012/27/EU-EED).

The conference also brought together EU-MERCI stakeholders and discussed the wider trends and needs of energy efficiency in the European Industry, as well issues and solutions around energy efficiency financing and policies. Dr. F. Salta, presented the main results of the FOODPRINT project paying a special attention to the software tool that enables the reliable determination & evaluation of the CF.

The project is implemented in Greece & Italy.

Objective

The main objective of the LIFE FOODPRINT project is to identify, quantify and implement measures to reduce, the carbon footprint (CF) of the pastry and flour food industry sector along the supply chain while increasing competitiveness through the development of an innovative software tool.
